Is this Rotary behaviour normal?

Just installed and setting up new Thunder Laser Chuck Rotary on a Thunder Laser NOVA+ 24 with a Ruida 644XG1G controller. Controlling it with LightBurn Pro 2.1.04 over USB.

Set up seemed normal but no matter what I try from LightBurn when I do a frame it moves the Y axis rather than turn the rotary, and yes rotary is enabled and is indicated to be so at the lower left of the screen. When I try and start a job from LightBurn nothing happens.

Now the interesting part, if I send the job to the Nova+ and select the file from there the rotary performs exactly as expected. Frames properly and runs a burn job just fine. To be certain it was not the lower end laptop we have tethered to the laser I also tried a new, high end one with 32GRam and it behaves just the same.

So, my question is - is this normal behaviour and one cannot directly control the rotary from LightBurn or is there a glitch in V2.1.04?

That will be normal for that controller, the framing and running of the rotary job should be done from the machine’s control panel.

Thanks Nicholas. Now I know. Is this documented anywhere as I could not find any reference to this when I was beating my head against the wall trying to get it to work initially?
