I am using a Boss 5598 with the trocen controller. My operator can no longer get the print cut function to work. He and I both have attempted to send multiple files that have worked fine in the last couple of weeks but as soon as the fiducial points are assigned and applied the green origin point goes outside of the cut area and when the Boss recieves the file, it is rotated slightly and the origin is off. This started randomly while cutting jobs fine. I can’t tell if its an update issue or pinpoint if its a software or controller issue. I have attempted to do smaller jobs in various places on the bed to see if it is a machine origin problem but I am at a loss.
V 2.0 apparently has an intermittent PnC problem on the first PnC setup, which vanishes for all subsequent setups. I haven’t been able to get a debug log as I haven’t been doing any PnC stuff.
If it doesn’t work the first time, perhaps “try try again” will improve things.
If you can remember to enable the debug log before starting, that would surely help them figure out what’s going wrong.
Thanks for your reply. We have retried it a bunch of times. Print cut is an important feature for us. We have had to offset the workflow to our routers. Will get some screen shots and enable debug log and get back here with more to work with.
Not sure it this helps but my operator had ver 1.7 and my station had 2.0.03. The PnC file still gave the same problem. When second point is selected and align to output is selected, the green origin shifts outside the cut area. The start from selection stays with controller setting and doesn’t shift to absolute cords.
Trocen controllers are weird, but let’s bump it.
Paging @JohnJohn: having sudden PnC problems on 1.7 seems unusual, but I don’t know enough about Trocen controllers to have a valid opinion.
