Issues homing laser

In the area for “get position” My X is -645 and Y is -645

Do not know how to home to 0. any help appreciated.

Hi Carl, your profile says Ortur and DSP, does that mean that you have modified your diode laser with a controller that costs about the same as the machine itself or is it the special machine from Ortur?
What did you specify in machine settings in LB during the installation process?

Did you make the homing?
If yes, you have to set the offset because LightBurn wants positive workspace numbers

https://lightburnsoftware.github.io/NewDocs/CommonGrblSetups.html

In your case should be G10 L2 P1 X-645 Y-645

Hello Berns.do sorry I am very new to this. I did nothing special with laser so I may have entered the wrong profile. It is not modified.

Thank you. Where is this entered?

No problems, but with the right information, it’s a little easier for the rest of us to help you, - welcome.
Why do you write DSP, I think you have something that uses Gerbil. In the console you can type $$, and you will surely get the correct information, right at the beginning of the long list of data that appears.

You have to enter that code in the console tab . Then, after homing, when you press on “get the position” , you should have X0 Y0

Thank you. That worked. Back at home.

You’re welcome, happy to help

Thanks for the kind words!!! I am new to this and an honest mistake was made. I have no benefit in adding the wrong info.

I have the homing done. Now getting G code motion target exceeds machine travel. Laser says ready but then does nothing?

Sounds like in the device settings you have entered a value for either the x-axis or y-axis that is greater than the machine can travel.
