Issues with Laser Head Homing

Hello to all.

I am new to the world of laser engraving and am loving it.
I have had my Creality Falcon 2 Pro 40w laser for 6 months now and have used it to create some good projects.
Last night when I turned on the laser, the laser head returned to its homing position (front left corner) and started shuddering violently when at the home position.
I immediately shut the machine of but, now every time that I turn the machine back on it repeats the above.
Is there a setting that I may have inadvertently changed that is causing this, or is there another fix that one of you gurus may be able to advise me of.

Thanks in advance

It’s likely you’ve had some type of hardware failure.

Could be a switch, the connector, wiring, connector to mother board or the controller could have failed. You don’t see many actual electronics failures, so I’d bet on it being a switch or cabling.

These machines are pretty dependable. My suspicious is that one of the home switches failed or has *** physically moved*** a bit. This would explain what it’s doing.

Can you check them with a volt/ohm meter?
