Job estimation way off

Hello.

I know, the question was asked a dozen times. But no solution seems to work for me.

I have a cutting job. Just cutting, no engraving.

The estimate says the job will take about 33min. The Job actually took 16min
Another Job was estimated at 15min and took 2min 30s.

I found the advanced setting window where I can read parameters from the controller, which is working. (I changed some settings, clicked “Read from controller” and the values were updated)

But the estimated time is still way off.

I tried to change the “Cut Speed Scale” and “Global Speed Scale” to 200%
The job estimate went down from 33 min to 31min. so no big change.
on 500% the time estimate is still 31min.

in the preview window it says, the total cut length is 14108mm
my layer is set to 15mm/s
if i divide 14108mm / 15mm/s ~ 940s
which are about 15.67 minutes, which are much much closer to the real time it took to cut my job.

I know, that this time is lower because of accelearation and movement to the next object and so on.

I’m on LightBurn version 1.4.05

I’ve never altered the global scales, but I did have to adjust my accel values. Once done, my estimates fell in line (<10% deviation). Although, my original (incorrect) estimates were always far short of reality. I never saw a swing where some estimates were high and others low.
