Jogging inconsistent response

Hi, Paul here from Ireland. Looking some help. I use an atomstack s20 pro on a Win11dell laptop running Lightburn 1.7. Every thing has been fine so far but II think I have hit some button which is causing my framing to become erratic. It is most noticeable in the MOVE window. (3 x 3 arrow ARRAY).

If I jog the top middle arrow the laser moves a step northward, and if pressed again takes another step northwards.

Simerly, If I jog the bottom middle arrow the laser moves a step southward, and if pressed again takes another step southwards. All done silently

However, If I jog the middle right arrow the laser moves a step to the right (eastward), BUT if pressed again takes a step backwards to the west accompanied by a noisy vibration.

If I jog the middle left arrow the laser moves a step westward, and if pressed again takes a step eastwards. More vibration

When I look at top of MOVE my move to position for x co-ord is positive and y c-ord is negative, I suspect some direction has flipped. I sent the laser back to origin and it went in opposite direction.

O 0 0

0 0 0

X 0 0

My coord system is shown by the X and X and Y increases the further you move away from origin. See arrows fig 1However now (as far as I can tell) Y value still increases the further from origin but X now increases as you come closer to origin fig 2.

I would appreciate any help

Paul

Your problems are likely due to using an incorrect device profile for your laser.

You can learn more about error 20 here:

Can you click on ‘Devices’ in your laser tab and share a screenshot to let us know what device profile you’re currently using?

Thanks for helpful replies it is appreciated. First the good news
I connected my PC to laser and it worked straightaway and I got my laptop to work.
Closed and reopened laptop and the same E_W grinding and jogging problem was back and the PC which was working also has the same problem.

I have tried different USB ports, no luck.
I have deleted device lists and re done them, no luck. Have included some screen shots, I might be overlooking something obvious
Thanks again

Paul
