Jpeg image resize issue

New here
lasermatic mk2
latest lb 1.7.03
Mac ventura version 13.7.2
attempting to create logo with the outline of eagle need to resize as needed
downloaded eagle jpeg from Freepik
Tried original size imported and resized / traced outline/preview was blurry
tried Inkscape changing jpeg to svg imported/traced/still blurry
the jpeg looks good in the grid ,the preview is a mess
tried every resizing/adjusting tool in lb preview is still blurry

Thanks for any help…

Tracing JPG files often gives less than desireable results. Look for an SVG of the eagle, you will be much happier.

What size do you want it to be?

Anywhere from 1 inch to pencil size

Rodger that
Thanks Tim.

You need a 5w or 10w laser to have any detail** at that size. And the focus has to be almost perfect.

** I marked Baltic Birch with 1mm ISO9 readable “ISO9 Text” with a 10w laser. Post an image of that pencil when done. .

Will do Still looking for a sag of the eagle. I am using 10w on the lasermatic
I had a wainlux k6 and it had the eagle in the material section I outlined the image and it looked awesome on a pencil

Pictures, pictures, pictures!

Downloaded svg,jpeg,png file of eagle
Could not trace the svg after adding it to art library. Adjusted size from 398 to 15 mm no luck blurry
Tried jpeg could trace image adjusted size still blurry
Tried 30 size little better still not acceptable??.

The previous pics were done with the wainlux
This is my attempts with the lasermatic 10w

Not bad at all. Remember I mentioned loss of detail if you shrink it? You light try Line mode instead of Fill mode on the pencil eagle.

If you did not use a rotary on the pencil eagle, that is pretty good. On your test board, that one in the third row, center has great detail. I would love to have that one in a Lightburn file by itself.

I would use that one on the pencil. And reduce the power. You are over-burning them. If you want a deeper burn, make 2-3 passes. Over all, you are actually doing great.

One of my bamboo pens, he ordered 120 of them!

Here an SVG.

Sometimes at a small scale, a line drawing that just “scores” is a good option.
