USB 100Khz Motion Controller Card Breakout Board Controller Card for CNC Engraving Stepper Motor Servo Motor

I have one of these controller BRB I wish I could figure out how to get lightburn to recognize it I really like lightburn the program has got some really great features. The problem isn’t with lightburn it’s with the integrated BRB. I have a diode laser with a 1000mm x 1000mm cutting area I make 3D puzzles and when the BRB is new they work ok I’ve tried every BRB that lightburn supports and they seem to all burn out the PWM circuit. I do work the heck out of my lasers I switch out after 8 hours of straight cutting. The laser gets taken apart cleaned and put back to work.I get about 2 days out of a integrated BRB. Ive been using this BRB USB 100Khz Motion Controller Card Breakout Board Controller Card for CNC Engraving Stepper Motor Servo Motor for over a week without a problem but i can’t use lightburn as my controller I have to use mach3. I have 2 cnc machines as well and would love too use lightburn to operate them as well. this has been on my mind for a few weeks and I could use some advise

 Thanks for reading this

It is more likely you are burning out the driver chips. On the next board that works, reduce the motor drive current maybe 10%, or put a big fan on it.

thanks for your reply

I took these boards to my computer tech and hr told me I’m just working the board to hard. I have the current turned back 20% now,I have fans working as well I even went as far as setting up a water chiller for cold air. My hope is that lightburn starts supporting other boards.

Your computer guy appears to be right. You might consider switching over to an A/C unit if you are not in Arizona. Water chillers are not that effective. You might also try a peltier cooler module kit.

Bottom line is if you push equipment beyond its design specification, it will likely break.
