Im running my K40 with a cohesion3d board at 1200mm and power at 23 to burn painted tiles do you think thats to fast

1200mm is not telling us much as you have not told us what this number represents. Is this your speed setting? If so, over what time interval? 1200mm/sec, per min? This part you have left out.
Sorry, but 23 what? Amps, percent, watts? I am not trying to be difficult here, but clarity and details will help us all benefit.
