Kerf of internal holes not applied

I am trying to cut out a shape with fingers to connect like in the image below:

The kerf compensation of 0.18mm outward for the cut works great for all the outer fingers. But for the holes which are totally internal to the piece the kerf doesn’t do anything, or is doing the wrong thing and the piece is fitting together much too tightly. Is there a way to have a separate kerf for internal cuts?

Negative numbers produce inward kerf cuts. Is that not working for you?

Are the internal shapes properly closed? If not, kerf won’t work. Otherwise it works the same as the normal offset tool. Here is the same design side by side:

The one on the left has a 2mm kerf, the one on the right does not (but I dotted it to show it distinctly):

In your example, divide your topic into “inner and outer” layers and determine the + or - kerf individually, otherwise everything will “shrink” or “get bigger”.
You need to zoom in a lot in the preview to see the effect, in the “work window” you can’t see it at all.

No, don’t do that - LightBurn does this for you automatically - You can see it plainly in the example I posted.

I regret the confusion, when I tried this question myself, I got the same result. I tried again and again until I found my un-closed shapes. embarrassing … I give a beer, sorry. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
