Kiste für Ortur-Lasermaster 2 und andere Dinge

Hallo,

Vielen Dank.

Kommt alle gut ins neue Jahr.

Gruß

I have no clue what this says but i do like the box setup for the laser.

I have an ambivalent relationship with that kind of post, the content is certainly very interesting but the sender does not make the effort to let google translate translate his message into the “common” language here on the forum. I do not know if people who write in another language have less time available as I have and therefore expect me to translate the content of their posts. I actually find it a bit thoughtless and I therefore skip these kinds of posts.

Hello, I have had an Ortur-Lasermaster-2 (20W) for some time. I made the first attempts with the laser in the apartment without a privacy screen or smoke vent. But this did not go on in the long run and I do not have a real hobby room or cellar or the cellar is too damp to operate there permanently. So I had to think about the following problems: Exact positioning and alignment of the workpieces under the laser eye protection (good laser glasses were too expensive for me) especially because of my children, who found the blue light very interesting Now to solve the problems: ordered box 1 including lid. Multiplex / plywood board (12mm) bought in the dimensions of the box bottom and fitted into the box. Parallel stops in X & Y are screwed onto the plate in order to position the laser correctly. Engraved / lasered grid. Unfortunately, the numbers are not easy to see, but this was due to the fonts in Lightburn (I had already asked about this in the forum). To find X / Y 0 I have to do the following. Switch on the laser -> this moves to the limit switch Open LaserGRBL X10 Move Y10 and set the zero point (yes with this method I lose 10mm in each axis -> that’s how it is) Disconnect Open Lightburn and start the project I have plywood strips (6mm strong) in different widths (10mm - 50mm), but Lego also works great as a stop. Light and camera installed. I attached the camera with GoPro adhesive pads, the headlight is screwed on. With the camera, the children can now watch everything on the laptop. Compartments for the complete accessories built-in Transport lock for the laser built-in Smoke vent 2 installed (copied from YouTube video) and this pipe clamp Ø180mm used for fastening. I have already washed the filter twice (leave it on several times with an all-purpose cleaner for about 30 minutes). Using the Dremel router, cut a hole the size of the air cleaner in the lid of the box and insert the air cleaner with the pipe clamp. finished …

Hi Jan, Thanks for your nice response and for not taking it badly. For the content itself, I can only say that I am impressed, fine work :+1:

For one of your questions, you can use the offset function to “frame” what you want and cut it out. The second question, the material you can cut in, thin balsa wood and “laser-suitable” plywood up to a few millimeters, with plywood and diode lasers it is especially important that it is the right type of wood, or more properly, the right glue used.

Hallo,
Will demnächst das Projekt hier posten.

(Rauchabzug, Kamera, verstellbarer Tisch >Z-Achse< )

Jetzt fehlt noch Schutzglas und der Luftassistent.
Könnte meine Box auch mal hier vorstellen

Es gibt einige Teile für den 3D Druck. Kabelhalter zum Beispiel.
Finde nur den Link gerade nicht.

Hi.

I was looking for laser protection windows and found your project. Great box!

Great thing with the webcam. I like it. I was so stupid and got a network camera. Wanted to see it on TV, but unfortunately it’s slow. Including that in Kodi also didn’t work out yet. At the moment we’re still looking through the browser.

I started out similarly and then expanded it.
(Smoke vent, camera, adjustable table> Z-axis <)

Now, the protective glass and the air assistant are still missing.
Could also introduce my box here

There are some parts for 3D printing. Cable holder, for example.
Just can’t find the link right now.

Did you find a matching laser protection window for this laser? I want to buy this laser as well and am thinking about the protection. Should I use a webcam or the protection windows?

Are the glasses which are delivered with the laser safe to use or should I buy more professional glasses?

I’m looking for an affordable plate for my box.
Unfortunately, it’s not that easy.

Window or camera, each has its advantages and disadvantages.

I would like something like this: Ortur LASER Master 2 ENCLOSURE - Ultimate Diode Laser Setup - YouTube

This guy is very skilled and his solution is top notch.
But it also goes in a slightly less professional fashion, like my box for example. Unfortunately I can not remember where I bought the orange colored polycarbonate plate but think it was in the local “Bauhaus” hardware store.
At the top I have later drilled a hole that fits my little camera and it all works very well.

Hallo Jan,

Ciao Vigo

Hello, are you happy with your Aircleaner for now? How often do you change the filter. 70 Euro are a lot of money for this.

Hallo,

Yes, I quite agree Bernd, I was just pointing out for those who may have wished to know what had already been stated.

Sorry Bernd and David, my english is not the very best. I try it with an translator, this is what we wrote:

Hello,

So after two to three such large boards about 30x40cm (Radeberger / Wernesgrüner) I have to wash out the filter.

But I’m slowly getting the impression that the filter is wearing off more and more. I’ll try other materials, for example filter floss from the aquarium hobby. For me, it’s not necessarily about the smell, but rather that not so much smoke comes out.

But I think the filter only cost 50 € for me (was definitely on offer).

greeting

And does it still stink in the living room? I bought filter mats for extractor hoods on Ebay. A fine filter on one side and activated carbon on the other. Possibly fits into the device there. Or I build something out of PC fans and put in the activated carbon mats.
