Laser cutting substrate

What is everyone’s material or product choice for holding the material up off of the bed while cutting?

I have a rolled sheet steel in my machine and I use 5mm magnets (on edge) you can see in the photo to hold the material away from the bed when needed.

Punk spikes with magnets, in different heights, work very well for me.

Honeycomb. Light, flat and absorbs a lot of wood residue. Doesn’t allow small parts to fall into the table. Creates some marks on the back of the material but it’s minimal. Fairly easy to clean but you have to pull it out of the machine.
If your only engraving then these advantages don’t apply.

Thanks, all!
