I am not sure if something is wrong with the laser or with my file, but I am experiencing inconsistent engraving.
The text in the photo I have attached is the same settings, yet it is inconsistent.

Nothing wrong with your file or your laser. It’s all in the wood. Try running slightly less power but do more passes and go out of focus about 2 to 3 cm
