I have a NEJE Master 2 Plus Laser engraver. I recently moved to using a Widows Laptop for this computer while I had beeen utilizing a Mac Laptop previously. upon loading the Lightburn Software on my Windows Laptop, I confirmed that all of my setting were like they were on the Mac. Only now I can control the laser, plan projects on it, Frame my output file, but when i hit START the Blue laser light fires to the material but nothing burns on the wood. I know I have missed something but for the life oi me i have no idea what to look for next. Help is appreciated.
Tim, Thank you for your quick reply. I do have it set on Inches/Min. I have included a number of screen shots from Device Setting and Tools. Not sure how clear they are but i hope you can find what i am overlooking.
I asked for screenshots and included a link to show how to take a screenshot because phone pics are not good. I cannot blow them up and cannot make out the detail on them.
Best I can make out, it appears that you are set at 800 in/min. That is way too fast for a diode laser and nothing will engrave at that speed. 80 in/min is a more realistic speed. Most people who use diode lasers work in mm/min, with typical engraving speeds between 1,000 and 8,000 mm/min depending on material. Converting from in to mm is a multiplier of 25.4. 800 in/min = 20,320 mm/min.
If you want to try again and upload actual screenshots I will be happy to take another look.
