Laser fires when framing but will not burn the job

Hi, just getting to grips with my laser, I have done two successful photo engraves but now I can’t do any more. everything goes ok, the laser fires when framing but won’t do the actual job.
Here is the g code message.

I suggest you using Absolute Coords instead of Current Position as your Start From mode in Laser window until you’re very familiar with the operation of your laser.

Cheers, many thanks. Another picture is working fine, I am wondering if I have done something wrong when setting the image up. I will check for start cordinates…

The error you had is unlikely to be related to the image setup. One thing that it could be if it were related to setup is the overscan setting. If you had a large overscan that would have the laser path going beyond the boundary of the laser.

This error is always going to be about the controller believing that whatever you’re asking it to do is going beyond the laser boundaries. The machine needs to know where in space it is. If you’re using current position, have not homed, and have moved the laser by hand you’ve put the machine in a state where it no longer reliably knows the position of the laser. Or depending on where you put the design relative to the current position of the laser head.

There are potentially multiple factors. This is why I suggest that people use Absolute Coords until they’re very familiar with the operation of the laser.

Many thanks, I will apply your tips tomorrow.
