Not sure what you mean by “cutting too soon” but it looks like your belts or wheels are loose, causing the start and end points of the pieces to misalign.
I guess I thought it was turning on too soon while moving to the next shape, but i’ll check the wheels for slippage, that makes sense too.

I tried a couple other tests, they seem to line up ok, but they are out of shape a bit, I’m guessing this is due to travel parameters are physically off a bit? or out of square
Check all the parts that move - make sure the wheels don’t wobble or have any play in them, and they are in contact with the rails and can’t lift, but also aren’t too tight. Ditto for belts, and also make sure that the set-screws holding the pulleys onto the stepper shafts are snug. These things can all be a little fusy.
