after resetting machine and software as well as updating software everything works fine. it will run through the job but either doesnt burn at all or is very light no matter how high i put speed and max power. i read some other people having this issue but when i try to the console tab like others have said it wont allow me to turn it on.
The Ruida (or any dsp) doesn’t have a ‘console’ option. Code is stored in the controller and just ‘runs’ any problems come up on the actual machine console and it will only show errors.
Explain what you mean here… Did you factory reset, or just push the reset button?
The Ruida has min/max settings for pwm output, but I don’t know what you did when you ‘reset’ it…
i reset the machine to factory settings through lightburn
also, i tried bumping up speed and max i did 300sp and 50 mx power and it did cut but its still pretty light and i used to run everything on probably 100sp 20 pwr but now i cant
I have no idea if you have a 30W or 30kW laser … that makes a difference in how I interpret your comments, since you’re noting power and speed… I assume in mm/S?
Where is this ‘reset’ in Lightburn?
I believe its a 100w laser
and yes in mm/s
the guys i brought the machine from had me go to edit, machine settings, load from file, open file he sent, write.
Ah, that has the potential to change all the settings stored on your laser cutter, and is almost definitely what is causing your issue. I would try reverting back to the previous settings (if you have a copy of them). Else contact the manufacturer about this issue so they can check the file they gave you, as settings vary (rather wildly) depending on manufacturer.
