I have a strange question but have not received any answers yet on the great google.
After i align and calibrate my camera on my falcon 2 pro 22w and cut or engrave 3mm it does it super great. BUT when i want to add a box that is higher than the 3mm, lets say 15mm, then the camera alignment on the box throws it off to the side etc. i cant manage to re-center the picture in lightburn software on any hightened object. be it bbq tongs, a knife… i have tried the off set settings but do not have enough material to re test it several times to get it perfect.
Is there a way to fix my problem?
Any advice or tips would be super helpful, and i hope i have explained the problem i have properly enough.
Camera adjustment is height depending and the only way you can get ahead is to make and save different profiles. There is little cumbersome but is for laser machines with not adjustable bed height, necessary. At the other machines, here the focus point is always adapted to the material surface and thus also fits the focus of the focus of the camera.
Thanks for the reply, it there a way to set it up as i do not really have like extra knives. Is there a setting that i need to adjust before i can know im in the correct spot.
I also tried to set up a laser cross hair and tried that offset but it does not go to where the cross is showing.
The calibration you do must be in the focus of your laser, for example 3mm, so you need a large piece of material that is 3mm thick to perform this calibration.
Camera image is calculated and corrected for optical misalignments, it only works on one height at a time.
The X-Y-Shift and width and length settings cannot solve your problem, they are “only” for fine-tuning an existing profile - as I understand it.
(I hope you understand what I mean, my English is not that good)
