Laser keeps burning during traveling

Hi,

i’m kind a new here and reading similar topics won’t bring me help.

My laser keeps birning when it travels to a new position. Tried the $32=1 setting but no help.

Any ideas?

Welcome. When I click on your profile name I see the following.

I am not familiar with this system, nor what is used to drive the control system for this machine. Is it a laser? But seriously, we are going to need a bit more about your system to offer help of any value. What controller and firmware are you using?

Hi,

i’m just a beginner in laserthings so all info I can provide is that this is the laser: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32844498227.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dOuHeDS

And that Grbl 1.1f. is the steering?

It is using this board: https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB19hJCNbrpK1RjSZTEq6AWAVXaw.jpg

And yes, its a led laser.

Thanks for this. Please type $$ into the console and hit the Return/Enter key, then copy and paste the entire output here for review.

Hi,

is this what U need?

You still have $32=0, not $32=1, and $31 should not be 500, it should be zero.

I will try it.

Tnx

Not working 4 me.

The laser stops without cutting the whole picture?

Here is the new configuratioen: (btw did an update to the last build of lightburn)

There is something wrong with your firmware, perhaps? You keep saying you’ve changed the values, and then post the same ones over again. Is the firmware not allowing you to change them?

You should be able to type $32=1 in the console and press enter, then when you type $$ and enter, you should see the new value shown. The settings you show above still have $32=0 and $31=500.

I try again.

Don’t know whats happening.

OK settings are correct now, but no changes, stil burns the traveling lines.

No, they’re really not. $32 is still 0. You even put it in bold up there, but it needs to be 1, not 0.

Why isn’t it changing? I’ll try again tomorrow.

Tnx

I am also having the same problem. Here is my Console Output.

OK problem almost solved.

When I put the parameter $32=1 in the console, it works, no more travveling burns.

Only when I close the program and restart, the $32 parameter is back to 0.

When i changed the $31 parameter to zero, it stayed like that, even after a program restart.

It seems the $32 parameter won’t write in the core.

Frank

It seems, everytime I change the print job, I have to give the command $32=1. It always switches back to zero.

I would contact whoever you purchased the machine from. Either it’s faulty, or they altered the firmware to force that setting - it is absolutely not supposed to do that.

Tnx, will do that.

Welcome and thanks for posting. I would like to suggest you make a new post and not jump in the middle of an existing with a similar yet different issue. You will get faster and more focused responses. Than said,

You may have an extra zero here. $30 should be 1000.

The $30 value can be set either in your firmware to match LightBurn, or in the LightBurn device settings (S Max) to match your GRBL setting, but they need to match.
