Laser marks on lense protector

Hi all

I was cleaning the module (20w diode) and spotted this.

The laser must have reflected from a shiny surface and left its mark on the lense protector.

The laser is working away regardless, but before I swap it out I thought I might try get some before and after shots of the effect this has on burn quality.

Would anyone have a recommendation for material that would be able to show such detail…if I can manage to capture it with the phone-cam on Macro.

Try engraving 1mm font size using ISO9.SHX on an anodized aluminum business card. That is about as fine a detail as you can get in my opinion. It is also good for confirming your focus is correct too. :hugs:

By the way, those 4 parallel lines on the cover glass is a clue it needs replacing.
