Hi everyone,
After replacing my Ray5 10w with a Lasertree LT-K40, I repositioned the homing switch (Y-axis) and homing is fine by both Lightburn and via Laser control panel. [Home] works but then it would do because Lightburn merely triggers that instruction and the laser board takes over.
Objective is to have the laser START from bottom left corner so as to ensure the entire project is within the sheet of material on the bed.
Problem is: Clicking on [Start] in Lightburn causes the module to move into bottom frame - immediately cut by the limit switch.
Puzzlingly, Using ‘Current position’ as the starting point, [Frame] works correctly - module travels around the periphery of the project.
In Lightburn, I have reduced size of work area slightly due to K40 being a larger module than the Longer’s 10w.
Also (In Lightburn) tried moving the entire project upward and inward by a few millimetres. There’s a limit to how far I could move this because the job goes off the right-hand side of the available area (just under 40cm).
Y-axis limit is not an issue because I use the 85cm extension
Job origin in Lightburn is always set to lower/near left corner.
I have tried all three start options [Current Position]*; [User Origin] and [Absolute Coords]
*Requires the laser to powered off/back on to reset after crashing into the Y-axis limit switch.
As with the smaller 10w, I ALWAYS [Home] the module before starting a job.
The Ray5 (10w) gave no problems but, can’t recall which start mode I used - definitely NOT the [Absolute coords] though because I’ve never used that function because my jobs have always started from bottom left.
Lightburn indicators - red and green squares are both also in lower left corner - yet the module still crashes into the lower cross bar!
Only adjustments I’ve made in Lightburn for the K40 are those as per Lasertree instructions: enable pointer offset by -0.21mm.
I also reduced the area slightly due to K40 being a bit bigger.
Does anyone know what else I need to do/am doing wrong?
Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllp
Thanks in advance
