Hello,
I have a Chinese 60W laser machine with a Ruida RDC6442S(EC) and a HY-T60 power supply.
Recently I carefully moved the machine to a new location, but now the laser won’t fire, before I order a new tube I’d rather check the whole system and I’ve noticed.
HY-T60 fan is not running in idle.
When pressing the pulse button the Laser LED on the HY-T60 does not light and the tube doesn’t light.
I have a mA meter on the small wire going to the tube and that dosen’t move when pulsing.
There are two other LED’s TL and WP, both are not lit.
Does anyone know if mA meter should still show the pulse even if the tube is defect, or does it look like a power supply problem?
It wasn’t clear anything powered up and I wouldn’t assume they wired the EPO to kill everything as it should. Anyhow, we can rule that one out.
The key-lock switch on my machine controls AC power to the high voltage supply and, a while ago, the switch contacts failed ON. Perhaps the same switch in your machine has failed OFF, which would explain why the HV supply doesn’t work.
A rocker switch on the side of my machine also controls the AC power to the HV supply. I trust you’ve turned that one on (), but I’ve seen those switches fail, too.
Can you measure the AC line voltage at the input and output of those switches? Basically, you want to verify the HV power supply is getting AC power; if it’s not, then trace the wiring back through the switches to the IEC connector where AC power enters the machine.
