When it’s in place, the lens assembly should look like this:
- Lock ring
- Silicone washer
- Lens (convex side up, flat side down)
- Nozzle tube
The flat bottom side of the lens should rest against the flat shoulder inside the nozzle tube.
The silicone washer atop the lens cushions it so snugging the lock ring doesn’t put concentrated stress on the lens.
If the lens is inverted, it won’t sit properly on the flat shoulder and won’t focus the beam correctly.
With that in place, it’s all good!
