Downloaded the latest version and now the laser turns off in the middle of burns. When that happens I cant even test fire to get it positioned again.
I downloaded the latest version of Light burn. Burns are stopping in the middle of a project and just powering down. Now the “fire” button will not work.
I have a xcarve with a JTech laser.
Everything was working fine before the update. Very frustrating because I have a show next weekend
No need to double post on this. I merged your second post on this into here.
Could you possibly attach the GCode and LightBurn file for a project you’re experiencing this with?
Apologies, attached is the file i was burning
cat in hat.lbrn (106.7 KB)
Not sure how to attach the gcode file or the file format
My "fire’ button on the move tab will not work and when I try to fire the laser manually it has no burning power.
You can find every older version of LightBurn in the ‘Releases’ link at the bottom of the download page on our website (or by clicking the auto-link when I type ’ older version '). If you install an older version and run from that, does it work again?
If not, it’s possible that there’s something up with the laser and the timing of the update was a coincidence.
If it does work correctly with the older version, but not the new one, then it might be a bug. Can you tell if you get any output messages in the console window when it stops?
In machine settings what should “$31” be set to?
I can get the test fire, but not full power

Did you try an Older Version, as Oz suggested?
