Hello brand new to the laser community actually still waiting for my first one to arrive I’ve ordered the longer ray5 10w diode laser however im just curious if any rotary roller would be compatible with that specific engraver because the rotary roller that company produces is sold out. Thank you
Generally speaking they all work very similar.
- type of motor – same type as one of the axes motors
- current draw of the motor…
If you have the same motor, it should not make a difference… The ratio of the steps may be different for each manufacturer. If the motors are different, that could be an issue, but most are a stand NEMA17 for small machines. NEMA17 motors are 1.7" on a side… Only the depth changes depending on the power …
If you find one for a similar machine it will probably be ok. You might have to do some figuring for the numbers to set it up…
