I have the sculpfun s30 pro and all of a sudden the laser won’t work. I frame the project, hit start, the laser goes to the right place but no laser.
Any suggestions? Tried all of the wires but still no luck
Are lights working on laser module?
The orange light comes on for the laser and at the switch box the blue lights are on, but no blue light or laser on the laser itself. We replaced the lens thinking it was bad, but no go.
So would seem a bad connection or bad laser.
In most cases, the signal cable broke. If you activate the fire function and then bend the cable, can you make the laser flash sometimes? Then it’s the cable. Make sure to always connect it properly to the slider.
You can also do the 5V test to check if the connection is ok. The explanation is here: Guide to mechanical adjustments and maintenance

You can check the voltages with a voltmeter at the terminals of the disconnected laser power supply. You should be able to read on the laser control board the VCC-GND-PWM indications and on the laser the MSDS which indicates the laser supply voltage
After drawing a circle in LightBurn you engrave it with a very slow speed and 100% power and the cable disconnected on the laser head.
You can measure the supply voltage between VCC and GND then measure a PWM voltage ( about 5V) at 100% between GND and PWM. A change in the output power must change this voltage. A measurement at the oscilloscope improves the measurement.
Important: First of all, go to the device settings and check if S Max is 1000 which corresponds to a 100% power output.
