I was using the laser yesterday and there was anew update. It was workong fine. then this morning there was another update to 1.5.01 now it wont frame.
It gives this error :
Alarm:2
G-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position safety retained. Alarm may be unlocked. ( right click the devices button to reset the connection) on or near line 0.
I not to savy when i come to understanding the technical part to the codes. How can i fix this?
Without any more information about your project, I am going to venture a guess. It has been observed that an update seems to flip an option switch here and there, totally random. Recheck all your settings, but I would look first on the Cuts window at the Overscan switch and value.
If this is not your problem, please provide more information about your project, including what you are trying to accomplish.
I am burning in a pattern on a 4" x4" balsa wood. It is filling in the pattern and outlining the pattern. I un installed the program and reinstalled it now it seems to work
I would imagine, your Start from got reset to user defined
Laser Panel - Start from. Is it Absolute coordenates?
If not, can you change it to Absolute Coordenates and retry?
Its doing it again when i hit the frame button. I did have the “start from”: on “user orgin”.
Would that be the cause for that error?

Specially if you dont define the origin
You must take it literally but also programatically
to define your origin you must go to move - jog laser head - then press SET ORIGIN
