Laser won't shut off between travel

Hello,
I could really use some advise in regards to a recent controller upgrade I made. I replaced my limited M2 Nano to a Mini Gerbil. My laser is a K40 Laser with no notable mods. When I attempted my 1st cut, I noticed the laser appeared to never shut off and cut the “travel moves” and the laser file. I read here and google trying to find a resolution with little success. Can someone please point me in the right direction, I am new to this but eager to research and learn.

This is what is returned with the $$ command.

Hi Mance,
I have exactly the same $$-settings and the same machine and controller without the problem you describe. I assume that you have connected the Mini Gerbil correctly according to Paul’s description.
I hope you find a solution for the problem.

Thanks for the response. The more I’m reading, it appears I may have to modify some power supply connections. I’m sure the solution is staring me right in the face, so will keep researching until I figure this out.

Show a picture from your mini gerbil connected to the power supply, maybe I can see a difference to my connection.

Thanks for the help.Once I’m off work, I will post a photo of the configuration.

Here are photos of controller and power supply connections

I figured it out. I never connected the PWM out to the IN on the power supply. I ran across this picture showing the configuration for K40 machines without a ribbon cable. Thank you.

I’m glad you found the error.
