Yesterday I ran a test run a wood cylinder in preparation to laser engrave a baseball bat for a friend.
Everything went great. Today when he brought the bat in to engrave. first thing we did make a change of the diameter setting in rotary. Ran the frame function it worked. The fire function did not fire, then tried to test it at15% power (using a 20w input module) it did not burn. Cut and layer function are checked. I even changed laser modules with the same result. I can’t figure out what I must have changed to cause this.
I would want to compare yesterday’s file to today’s file. Can you name them accordingly and upload them to this forum post?
Are you 100% sure you’re using the same device profile? Sometimes folks have multiples and they don’t realize it.
I would like clarification on this part: “The fire function did not fire, then tried to test it at15% power (using a 20w input module) it did not burn.” Are you firing during framing with 15% in your device settings?
The simplest option might be to import yesterday’s preferences. Go to File>Preferences>Load Prefs Backup>Select an option that worked for you previously to get your settings back.
