Layer Colors -default actions?

I tried searching this prior to this post, I am sure not finding what I need is a nomenclature issue as I would find it surprising this has not been asked.

That said, is there any standard to assigning actions such as Cut, Fill etc to the layer colors? I have been typically using the black layer for cuts and red for engraving fill, but if there is a “standard” I would prefer to be in line with the rest of the world.

The standard is whatever you find works for you. That being said, most people choose black or blue for vector marking or cutting.
