I need some help, see pic. I want to engrave this image just like it is but how do I do that with part of 1 image on top of the other? I want the gate to look like it’s in front of the house with a little distinction between the two while still being able to see the house parts between the open parts of the gate. I hope this makes sense.
You need to use OFFSET to outline the orange gate by about 1.5mm. Do not delete originals. Set the new, larger outline on a different layer. Set the red layer SHOW to off in the cuts/layers window.
Select the background and the new, larger gate.
Select BOOLEAN tools - to make a clean cutout of the larger gate. The larger gate will disappear. Turn on the red layer again and you will have a small outline around the gate.
