If you are in layers and you want to add a sub layer, is there a way to add a sublayer from material library?

As far as I can tell.An entry in the library contains its given layer or layers, and also any Sub-Layers..but sub layers cannot be selected individually.
You may duplicate the required sub layers and save to library, but when applied they will then be a new unique layer.

Sorta what I thought, would be nice to be able to select from library instead of writing it down and going back to make a sub layer
