Yesterday my Longer Ray 5 10w laser engraver was working fine, but now the laser seems to come out but doesn’t leave a scratch. I tried changing the speed and power but nothing changes?
You do not give us much to work with. Does the laser light up when you press the Fire button in the Move window (set to 0.5-1%)? Have you checked for loose cable connectors? Does everything work and move properly otherwise? Have you searched the Forum for possible solutions?
No loose wires. It moves perfectly and it looks like the laser is working but does not leave a scratch
requiero ayuda tengo una neje max 3 y no arranca
Also, it engraves bigger than it says it is supposed to when I frame it.
So all at once, the settings of the machine seem to have been changed, your laser doesn’t work at normal power, and (if I understand what you are saying) the size factoring of your machine changed.
I would look at my settings, I have a backup that I could restore. At that point I would try and do problem isolation.
Either the machine is being commanded incorrectly by the software or the machine is being commanded correctly and is moving and graving incorrectly.
I have a machine that understands gcode, so I would feed it some raw gcode that i typed. Maybe I would start at the left edge and move half way across to the right and see where i ended up.
If the head moved 3/4 of the way across, that probably eliminates the software. If the head moves as expected when given specific commands but not when moved by the program, it is likely that the software has been adversely affected by the cat that walked on the keyboard.
