So i have lightburn on 1 computer which i use to do my engraving.
i downloaded lightburn on my work computer at work so i can edit graphs and projects while at work or during coffee breaks but i cant do it because i dont have my laser at work.
So now i got rid of my first computer and want to replace it but when i downloaded lightbburn on it it keeps saying network error and then asking me to make sure the key is correct (i triple checked).
So what do i do now? do i have to many computers going?
Is there a way to fool around at work (without my laser ) to edit files and dowmload onto a stick take home and just make project?
A network error usually means that LightBurn is having trouble connecting to the license server to authenticate your key. You’ll need to whitelist a port in order for LightBurn to ‘phone home’ so to speak.
Please ensure the following is set up on your network:
It is also possible to configure LightBurn to access the network through a proxy. You can append the proxy connection address using -p ProxyString
The proxy format is: [protocol://][username:password@]machine[:port]
If this isn’t possible, please email Support@LightBurnSoftware.com with your License Key + your offline activation file (Top menu bar: Help > License Management > Request Offline Activation)
