Light burn no longer connects via USB to my previously working OMTech 70W

I’ve had no problems with the connection for 4 months of ownership. Started up the machine after 2 weeks off and now I get “communication with controller failed” message from my Machine Settings tool.

I’ve tried to replace the USB cable. RD files on USB drive work fine (using the appropriate machine port).

Is it possible my USB port is bad on the machine or is there anything else I can try?

I’m not a windows person, but I think you should be able to see the laser in the device manager.

Someone will probably ask you to check.


You can solve many of these issues by going with the Ethernet connection… much more dependable and no drivers to deal with…
