As mentioned in the title, Light crashes when import the latest version of Illustrator files.
Problem solved when importing earlier versions.

Illustrator throws a ton of meta data into the file structure when saving. If you go to version 10 when you are finished editing you will find a much simpler file structure for the lasers to interpret. This has been the case for years. It’s much less headaches to save as v.10.
I’ll keep that in mind, thank you for the tip !
LightBurn handles modern AI files fine for the most part. They do add a ton of crap, but we wade through and ignore what we don’t need.
