light won’t respond giving a message G code cannot be executed in lock or alarm state
Copy and paste the contents of the Console window in your Reply.
If the machine strikes a limit or home switch or has some other error that causes it to loose it’s position it can’t proceed.
Most of these allow some kind of control code to unlock them, such as ^D
If not you’ll need to reset it by homing. The error message usually states it lost it place, so some other error may have cause it.
Do as @MikeyH advised, use copy and paste to post the error.
You can also enter $X in the Console window.
