Trying out lightburn 2.2 on a windows PC. Keeps crashing on trying to import a JPEG file. Lightburn prompts me to submit a bug report on relaunch but it keeps throwing a server 404 error.
Hi Ned,
Thankyou for the report - I’m not sure what’s going on with the bug report 404, but if the crash happens with a signature like this:
QColorTransformPrivate::prepare
QColorTransformPrivate::prepare
QColorSpace::withTransferFunctions
QImage::width
QImage::convertToFormat_helper
BitmapShape::SetupFrom
BitmapShape::LoadFrom
MainWindow::ImportFileShapes
MainWindow::ImportFile
MainWindow::ImportFile
MainWindow::qt_static_metacall
MainWindow::qt_metacall
QMetaObject::metacall
QObject::qt_static_metacall
QMetaObject::activate
QAction::activate
then I think I know what it is.
I just ran some tests and got a crash when I imported a photo with an “Apple Poppy v4 LUT” color profile - I think the newer QT version tried to read the table and for some reason spat the dummy when converting the colors to grayscale.
If you need that photo in LightBurn 2.2 for a job - try importing it first to an earlier LightBurn version (like 2.1.04), then File>Export it to a .png or .bmp image type, and then import that (already greyscale) photo.
Ah…interesting - when the image was copied to clipboard it was probably already in a simpler format. I’ll make a bug report so the dev team can figure it out!
