Hi; I get Alarm 9, but only when I am using the rotating jig. When using X and Y axis, there is no mistake. Please help!

First, you need to disable auto home on startup in Device Settings. This explains what is happening.
If you have a 100mm graphic, but your starting Y axis position is 90 the rotary will stop at 90mm.
You need to check the Y axis position in the move panel and rotate the rotary until you have more than enough space to run the graphic.
Let’s assume your bed is 400x400. If your origin is on the bottom of the graphic, rotate until your Y axis is close to 400. If you use center origin, rotate to 200. You don’t need exact numbers, just close, so there is enough room to run the graphic.
Your machine doesn’t know there is a rotary attached and has unlimited range of rotation, it only knows what dimensions are programmed into it.
When using the rotary disable homing and limit switches. Disable auto home on startup in device settings. Enter $$ in the console window. Copy and paste the results to a text file for backup purposes. Take note of these parameters; $20, $21, $22. Change any that are not 0 by typing $20=0, $21=0, $22=0 and Enter in turn in the console for any that are not already 0. Enter $$ to verify changes. When finished with the rotary, set the parameters back to how they were before.

Hi Thelmuth, why does it start with that alarm after I used the laser for over 5 years? I often change from x/y to x+ rotary without problems.

Because with the rotary attached it cannot contact the limit switches to complete the homing cycle. Perhaps you didn’t have auto home enabled before, perhaps you normally swap the plug to the rotary after homing. Could be any of a number of reasons. I cannot see your system, so all I can do is guess.

Thanks for the reply. The way I saw that something was wrong is that the engraving would look odd, some lines would not follow my input and lay randomly.
I will try to reset.
