Lightburn asking me to buy again

morning folks. I purchased Lightburn last year, or before. Its now saying my trial period has run out and os asking me to pay again. why would this be? isnt it a one time purchase?

Please email support@lightburnsoftware.com and include your order number for the original key purchase and/or your license key (do not share it hear) and we can look into this for you.
Your licence is for life, and comes with 12 months of updates. I suspect you are being asked if you would like to buy another year of updates.

If you’re being prompted that your trial has ended, there may have been a windows update or other hardware change that makes your PC look like a new device to LightBurn - if that’s the case, you can simply reactivate LightBurn with your existing license key.

When you activate LightBurn, it uses a digital ‘fingerprint’ of your PC to identify it. If that fingerprint changes (can happen with windows updates on occasion, or hardware changes) sometimes that can drop the activation, and you’ll need to reactivate.
