Hello. I’ve been using LightBurn for about five months with an Ortur Aufero AL-1 (S2)… I’ve been using it mostly with the rotary chuck, and without any issues for the most part that I haven’t been able to figure out. However I have this one issue (at least I think it’s an issue), and it bugs me that I haven’t been able to figure out the cause for it. Only how to work around it.
Issue… Every time I turn on the machine (with the rotary chuck connected), the RED light BLINKS on the machine and I can’t do anything (locked out?). But when I look in the console, their aren’t any issues or errors listed. The only way I’ve found to get around it is to enter the rest code ($RST=*). Not a big deal if that was all I had to do. But then I have to go back in and reload and rewrite the machine settings again for the rotary chuck.
What’s the cause of the blinking light? Is this the way it’s suppose to work? Or is there something different I should be doing?
In case you need it for troubleshooting, I’m using CURRENT POSITION for the START FROM position. I’ve tried clearing and resetting the ORIGIN position, but that doesn’t help. The only fix I’ve found is using the reset code. Once I enter it, the light stays red and I can work. As previously noted, I just have to re-enter my rotary settings.
The only change I’m making in the machine settings for the rotary is to turn off the SOFT LIMITS ($20) and HOMING CYCLE ($22). Those settings are still there if I turn off the machine and turn it back on again. So those are OFF when the machine start up.
Using Windows 10 Enterprise. Connection is USB with the supplied USB cable.
I copied the info from the Console that’s listed after startup below. I’d appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks…JEB
