I am new to posting on here , so hopefully this is the right place. i have an Atomstack X70 pro that i cannot get to connect with lightburn. Installed latest version of lightburn ,changed usb cords , tried different ports , changed DTR , buffered to sync , installed latest driver CH340 , switched on and off , and still get waiting for connection. I also have an Atomstack X20 pro , it works fine using the same laptop , the only difference is the usb connection type. I know there has been alot of discussion on this topic but ive tried most of them and the results are the same. If anyone has any suggestions please advise . Thanks in advance
Hello Miller
If you Right Click windows menu > Device manager.
With Just your X70 connected, what COM ports show on the PORTS separator?
Take a screenshot with the laser connected and powered and with the USB cable unplugged.
Send both, please.
Also a screenshot of EDIT > Device settings on LightBurn.
This might be above my skillset , the computer i have the setup on is different than the one im posting from.
When the X70 is connected do you get a PORTS section?
Like this?
If not, then your computer will not identify the laser. you might need a new usb cable or a different computer just to confirm.
no i dont get that .i changed to a usb type A no change
This seems to mean your computer cannot see the laser.
Do you have another computer you could use just to test the same process?
i tried another laptop with laser grbl still would notconnect
Undestand, however just to confirm
Does Device Manager detect the device at all?
If not, you might need to contact the manufacturer for diagnostics as you might have a controller issue.
no it doesnt show up atall, i do have an atomstack x20 and it works fine , so im beginning to think there is a controller problem
im going tomake a simple file and try running with just a memory stick , seeifit will work from there
Inspect the usb cable as well and if possible try a different one
so i made a simple square on a stick and it functions. so either the cable or a setting i cant see
