I just downloaded and installed ligtburn and am trying to get it setup. Every time I try to load a library, it crashes and when I open it again, one of my trial days has expired and i haven’t even gotten to use it yet.
That’s odd as it should be based on calendar days.
What kind of library are you opening? How was the library created?
Could you upload the library for us to investigate? If it won’t attach, email it to support@lightburnsoftware.com with a link to this thread.
No, unfortunately I cannot (copyright issues). The library isn’t the issue, as soon as I hit the load button it crashes. I don’t even get to the point of choosing the file.
Which library is this in?
What version of LightBurn are you using?
Art Library, LightBurn-v1.3.01, windows 8 64 bit
Okay. I cannot reproduce but I’m on a beta release and Win11. Load works fine for me.
Can you go to Edit->Settings->File Settings and take a screenshot?
I was going to ask you to try either “Use External Load/Save dialogs” or “Bypass system Load/Save dialogs” but I realized that should affect all load/save operations.
Are you having issues loading or saving .lbrn files?
In either case, you may want to experiment with the other options to see if that changes the behavior.
I imagine the devs could use a crash report to help you isolate the specific issue.
No, this is literally the first thing I have tried to do with Lightburn. Where do I find a crash report, and where do I send it?
I’d suggest sending a help request to support@lightburnsoftware.com with a link to this Topic. They’ll provide details for what they need.
