Lightburn crashes when locking (or unkocking) Windows 11

Hi,
I have the same issue since I obtained Lightburn a while ago: whenever my computer (Windows 11) locks the screeen and I unlock again Lightburn is gone. Since I am aware of this problem I try to avoid my computer from locking at all, but sometimes it’s impossible and this issue is extremely annoying when it happens while burning/engraving, since the whole process and the material is ruined.
Oh: and it happens whether or not the laser is actually connected.
Does anyone have any experience/insight into this? Any help is appreciated.

I never came across this issue. And I used LB on about 5 different Windows machines, a Mac and a Linux machine. Never experienced that. Did you try to remove it and do a clean install?

Just hop into power settings and set it to never turn off or sleep your machine. I have my laptop set this way for music thats connected via HDMI to my TV. Windows doesnt do awakening or sleeping very well…never has. If its an external connection? Forget it.

Hi,
I have already turned off power saving, since this was my initial idea, as well. It seems, however, that the crash also happens when my computer locks itself (security measure since my computer also contains professional information, I don’t want to disclose when I forget to lock it in a hurry).
I’ll keep checking, maybe I have missed one box when checking or such
Thanks!

Yes but when you lock your screen it also goes through and cycles off different parts of the machine to conserve power. Try this to stop it happening…

Right click the Windows Start Button and go to Device Manager. Open Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Double click any devices that are labelled as USB Hubs and go to the Power Management tab for that device. Uncheck the box for Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power .

Great idea, I’ll try and come back to let you know

Hi John,
I disabled the checkboxes for all USB and some other devices. It didn’t help.
Then I did something I should have done long before and looked into the event manager from Windows. What I found is confusing, but I’ll keep digging deeper. I’m just posting it in case someone else has had a similar issue.

Cause of the crash is an exception of type 0xc0000005 (Access Violation) in the module ISD_Tablet.dll.
I’ll report back once I’m smarter

I managed to fix the crashing
Upon understanding that ISD_Tablet.dll (a part of the Wacom Drivers), which presumably are used for my convertible functionality, I simply deactivated the corresponding service (Wacom ISD Service) and set it to manual start up.
Afterwards I have not been able to crash the app, yet.
