Please tell us more about your Galvo Laser. Power capacity, Source type, EZCad version… etc.

Have you swapped the driver from the EZCad 2 driver to the driver that LightBurn uses?

Have you imported the Markcfg7 file into LightBurn?

Has this ever worked?

Having a fiber and a few other types of lasers, the accuracy of the focus always surprises me… So ensure you are properly focused… If this is off by much, you’ll see no work done by the laser.

If you have a JPT MOPA, then you want to enable q-pulse width setting. If you have a foot switch, is that working… ?

You should add your fiber laser to your profile… then you don’t have to repeat it. If you click on the user name you’ll see their profile.

On Windows, the driver for EZCad doesn’t work with Lightburn.

Good luck

foot switch works in ezcad
and driver in device manager for lightburn is active

Great, if Lightburn can talk to it, you’re fine…

Did you enable q-pulse settings… that’s part of what you’re paying for with a MOPA.

still no response from laser ,

Maybe @JohnJohn can add some type of suggestion on what’s occurring.

I’d be interested in looking at your Markcfg7 file and your lbprefs file.

Please make a copy of the markcfg7 file, and change the filename to markcfg7.txt and drag and drop that file into a reply here.

In LightBurn, click File, then click Export Prefs and save that file somewhere convenient.

Please drag and drop that file into a reply here as well.

I’ll import the markcfg7 file as a new profile and compare it to the Settings (for the Raycus and the JPT) that I’ll be able to see in the lbprefs file.

markcfg7.txt (10.2 KB)
lightburn.lbprefs (34.3 KB)

David, FYI, if you hit WINDOWS + SHIFT + S key combo, your screen will darken and you can draw a rectangle around what you want to screen capture.

Once you draw your box, the image is sent to your Windows clipboard. Then, just click in the forum post you are making and hit CTRL + V to paste the image directly to your post.

It’s a Windows shortcut that helps me a ton. Hope it helps you, and good luck with your laser.

** EDIT **
If you enable Clipboard History in your Windows settings, you can capture multiple screen caps, and then use WINDOWS + V to paste from the clipboard history.

thanks for the info i have used the feature

Any progress ??
