Lightburn does not show any content, when I open a file I have previously created

When I reopen a file I have just created before, I cannot see any content in the lightburn program, the working area is completely empty. This is only for the last few files, I have created. Older files seem to be okay.
Details:

  • Lightburn Version: 1.3.01
  • OS: Win 11 Pro
  • File size is > 2 MB
  • I have tried to re-create my work, but same issue again: after closing and reopening it, Working area is emtpy, no layers etc, although file size is > 2 MB.

Do you have an idea what could go wrong? The timing of this issue is quite bad, directly before christmas

Can you upload an example LB file that’s exhibiting this issue?

Might try clicking on the ‘zoom to frame selection’ icon zoom-to-frame-selection to ensure it’s not elsewhere on your work area.

Please post the offending .lbrn2 file

:smile_cat:

Are you possibly saving to a cloud drive? If so, there are known issues with cloud drives corrupting LightBurn files that are in-use. I think they’re fine for archiving but not as a working area where you’ll be opening the file.

That was my first thought too.

Upload an example file or are we all just guessing in the dark.

Thank you for the information. Actually, I am using Synology Cloud Drive to sync it to a NAS, and it has some “Sync on demand” feature. I have adapted this to “Sync always” and now it is working again, thank you very much!
I would not like to upload the corrupted file publically here, since it contains faces and I cannot edit it anymore. If you still want to analyse it, please give me an email adress where I could send it too.
Happy holidays to all of you!
