I am having a horrible issue with getting any where near accurate times unless its a very small engrave job. Right now I am running a simple 3 line engrave to make shiplap like background. Lightburn said 5 mintues. The machine took 5 minutes to just do one of the lines. I have done the thing where you tell lightburn to read from the controller. It hasn’t helped. The other night I ran a very large engrave job. Lightburn said 1 hour 45 minutes. It ended up taking almost 5 hours. Please help. I need more accurate times.
Lightburn uses some generic speed settings by default as each laser can be configured differently either by the manufacturer or owner. To get a more accurate estimate you need to go to Edit->Device Settings. Click on Additional Settings then click Read From Controller. This will update the generic default setting with the information from your controller. Click OK and your estimated times should be much closer in the future.
I wrote in my post that I have already done that and it hasn’t changed anything. Still having same issue that jobs are taking 3 times what lighburn says.
