Lightburn error, dots remaining after cutting tool

Lightburn program error, points remaining when cutting.

It can be seen in the video. A point randomly remains at the end of the line. Not always.
It gives an error when laser cutting if I use kerf offset. You have to be very careful when editing because of this. It often remains under another line. It is difficult to notice.

I can’t reproduce this error.
Can you separate that part of the file, save it, and upload it here?

There is an error, but Lightburn is not producing them, it is reporting them.

Is that an imported file from a CAD program?

If you imported a DXF file, sometimes the person who exported it didn’t get rid of the DEFPOINTS. These are 0 length points (lines) that can cause problems.

Imported. But it also made such an error within the file that I drew. I’m trying to reproduce the error in another file.

Can you check to see if there was more than one node at that location before you did the snip? I’ll check on our side to make sure we’re deleting what we should be.

I just did a test using the Lightburn (v2.0.04) editor for everything, using mostly parallel lines with several cross lines. I found no remnants of lines resulting from using the Scissors Tool on any line segments, including those I extended after trimming.

Without that file, this discussion is pointless…

It does it randomly.
I’m attaching the file in the previous video, which I copied during the video.

new video, it seems random.

I’ve run your file, used the scissors to cut off all the ends, there are no loose, independent points left here with me.

If I open the file several times, it does it once, and once it doesn’t. I don’t understand why.
It can be seen in the video that when I download it, open it, it makes an error.
Sometimes it matters how long I draw the line.
Could this be caused by my computer?

I have watched both videos and see your problem. However, I still can’t reproduce it and I tried several times. (with your and my edited file)

My LB version is 2.0.04 and my computer is a MacBook Pro 2014 with Sequoia 15.7.1

I agree that it can cause some errors in productions when executing the files, you risk getting small pinholes in all the places where you have used the scissors.
Then Oz and Co. must get in their work shirts

can you upload your original DXF file?

The error also appears on what I uploaded. The last videos are not from dxf, I drew them in lightburn.
I can’t upload the original, I have months of work on it, a plan for a new rc airplane that I designed over and over again until it was perfect.

From your first video, it appears that you started with a file that you imported. If that’s true, can you upload that original DXF file?

That was a purchased file that I can’t share.
