My frame is to wide on my tumbler. I am trying an R… my settings are 2in wide by 3 in height. Its engraving twice as wide. I do not know what to do.
Sounds like your steps are not set correctly.
Roller or chuck rotary?
You don’t have your rotary settings correct. Need more info to help. What rotary do you have? Show a screenshot(not phone pic) of your rotary setup dialog and a screenshot of your Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the cuts/layers panel and Laser panel open.
Where did you get the 100 mm per rotation value from? Everything I see says it should be 40 unless I’m looking at. the wrong rotary.
When you click the test button, it should make exactly 1 rotation and return to the start. Does it do that? If not you need to adjust the mm per rotation value.
Setup is best done with a straight sided, non tapered item. The way I recommend testing rotary setup is to make sure your object diameter is correct. Cover the item in painters tape to protect the workpiece and use low power, just enough to produce a mark on the tape. Draw a 100mm skinny rectangle and burn it to the tape. Measure the actual output. If it is correct, you’re ready to go and you never need to change the mm per rotation again. If it doesn’t measure 100mm adjust the mm per rotation value and tryagain until it is correct.
