Lightburn freezes after entering $RST=* directly or via macro (slightly different results)

I’m running Lightburn v 1.0.06 from a Windows 10 PC connected to an Ortur Master 2 Pro laser engraver. In order to enter the reset code $RST=* in the Lightburn Console, I have written a macro.

However, if I enter the code directly or via the macro, Lightburn always freezes, but the situation is slightly difference, as follows:-

Using Macro:

Console displays:-

[MSG:Restoring defaults]

Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro Ready!

OLF 155.

[MSG: Flame detector active,Ambient infrared value:4092]

Grbl 1.1f [’$’ for help]

Green Progress Bar: Stops at 85%

Clicking Pause and then STOP resets the freeze

Right clicking “Devices” resets the freeze and Console displays:-

[MSG:Restoring defaults]

Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro Ready!

OLF 155.

[MSG: Flame detector active,Ambient infrared value:4091]

Grbl 1.1f [’$’ for help]

Entering $RST=*

Console displays:-

[MSG:Restoring defaults]

Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro Ready!

OLF 155.

[MSG: Flame detector active,Ambient infrared value:4092]

Grbl 1.1f [’$’ for help]

Green Progress Bar: Stops at 100%

Clicking Pause and then STOP, does NOT reset the freeze

Right clicking “Devices” resets the freeze and Console displays:-

[MSG:Restoring defaults]

Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro Ready!

OLF 155.

[MSG: Flame detector active,Ambient infrared value:4092]

Grbl 1.1f [’$’ for help]

Whilst it’s not a big problem in right clicking “Devices,” I think there is something wrong and would be interested knowing what’s going on. Also why does entering the code directly or via the macro not produce exactly the same problem?

Any comments please?
Macro

I’ve been in touch with Lightburn Software Support who have advised me that after sending the code (manually or via the macro) I need immediately to:-
Wait for [MSg: Restoring defaults]
Immediately tap reset on your motherboard then power up again

For me, I get the [MSg: Restoring defaults] immediately, so I then press the reset button, followed by pressing the power button for 5 seconds and it works every time :grinning: (Ortur Master 2 Pro)
So solution found - thankyou
